At the factory of Sanko Kōzai Co., Ltd., we have been working on heat countermeasures through the installation of fans, provision of cooling vests, and taking breaks during work when the WBGT warning temperature is reached. However, with the aim of further improving the workplace environment and ensuring the safety of our workers, we have decided to implement more advanced measures across all sites. We are introducing our highly efficient air conditioning units at our locations nationwide. In selecting the air conditioning units, the 'Spot Bazooka,' which can blow cool air approximately 20 meters even in semi-open buildings, emerged as a strong candidate. This decision was made based on performance verification through demo units and confirmation of implementation results in the market. Koshigaya Kasei Kogyo Co., Ltd. faced challenges with heatstroke prevention for employees every year, as temperatures in the factory exceeded 35 degrees Celsius during the summer. However, they found the powerful spot air conditioner "Spot Bazooka" on their website. In mid-July 2018, they borrowed a demo unit for one week and tested it in the extreme heat of the factory. The cool, dry air reached far and was very well received by the employees, leading to the decision to implement it. By attaching a flexible duct of the same size as the indoor unit's blower, duct resistance was reduced, allowing a large volume of cool air to be supplied throughout the factory, and the direction of the airflow could be easily adjusted. Equipped with a heat exchanger equivalent to a maximum of 8.5 horsepower for a work environment with extreme heat around 40℃. It sends in cold air at an intake temperature of -16℃ and effectively dehumidifies. Leasing options are also available.

The "Spot Bazooka EX" is a spot air conditioner that delivers highly directional cold air, efficiently cooling the targeted area. With its powerful cooling capability, it can blow out air at an intake temperature of -16°C and is capable of dehumidifying at a rate of 9.04L/h. (Note 1) It is suitable for improving the environment in high-temperature workplaces such as kitchens, welding sites, and glass workshops. Additionally, it requires minimal maintenance due to the absence of filters, and the openings can be washed with water. At a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Hyogo Prefecture, during the summer before the introduction of the "Spot Bazooka," the temperature inside the semi-open factory exceeded 35 degrees Celsius, making work very difficult. Therefore, this product was introduced. Since liquids are handled, the humidity inside the factory was also high, creating a harsh environment with a high risk of heatstroke. However, after the introduction, workers were able to feel dry, cool air in the work area, and it has received very positive feedback from the employees. Introducing a case study on the implementation of "Spot Bazooka" due to its short installation period and cost-effectiveness!

This is an introduction to the case of introducing "Spot Bazooka" at Matsue Elementary School in Kasamatsu Town, Hatorigun, Gifu Prefecture. The gymnasiums of two elementary schools in the town still lack air conditioning, and in light of the incidents of heatstroke among children occurring nationwide, we have been considering measures to prevent heatstroke in the gymnasiums. With the added challenge of summer classes during the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided to implement a solution as soon as possible. As a result, we arrived at the "Spot Bazooka," which was suitable in terms of overwhelming airflow, safety, installation space, and cost. After confirming the installation site and conducting a demonstration, we were able to verify its effectiveness, leading to its adoption by both schools. Since the introduction, it has been used not only by the school but also for community sports activities through school openings, and we have received feedback that activities have become more comfortable.
